Machinist

Job Purpose

Responsible for operating machines and equipment to ensure smooth execution of Production activities as per Production Plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and load raw materials onto the machines.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Perform inspection activities by using the right measuring instruments
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions (shift handover / tool-box talk)
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to company policies & safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Plan machining by studying Work Orders, Blueprints, Materials and Fixtures.
• Set-up and install tools and attachments under Supervision.
• Conduct Manual programming and program editing.
• Perform Fixtures design and modifications
• Prove machining of new components

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of work experience in manufacturing environment and 2 years of work experience in similar position
• High school/ITI/Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Production or in any related discipline
