Sr. Tax Planning & Compliance Officer (Saudi National)
Description:
Role & Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Business (Group) complies with all relevant local and internal requirements, industry regulations and Government Legislation related to Tax, including corporation tax, VAT, transfer pricing, WHT etc.
- Perform, verify, and report the calculation, submissions, and payments of all kinds of taxes.
- Identify Tax related risks to the business in areas such as but not limited to non-compliance, miscalculations, deadlines, and important dates etc.
- Understand the commercial objectives of the business and the impact and or recommendations made by internal audit or statutory (external) auditors.
- Maintain all the requested contract Reports in Tax portal in KSA & Qatar.
- Review Contracts and advise on the impact like WHT (With-Holding Tax) & VAT and advise Commercial Department on the Cost building.
- Prepare country-wise Tax reporting for the Group.
- Manage and lead the VAT implementation project across the company and organize deliverables with external Advisors.
- Manage external tax authorities and consultants locally and regionally.
- Prepare and review Transfer Pricing documentation across all regions.
- Ensured informed application of tax laws and regulations to identify and mitigate tax risks.
- Support in activities of mergers and acquisitions, when needed, by analyzing tax information; calculating key ratios; identifying areas of tax savings
- Ability to handle Book of Accounts till Financial closing and issuing MIS reports
- Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organization is compliant with accounting standards
Successful candidate should have the following:
- 5 to 8 years of work experience in similar position/role
- Experience in professional services / audit firms is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ ACCA / ACMA or related discipline; or an MBA in General Management is preferred
- Knowledge of Tax Laws in Countries specifically – KSA.
- Ability to manage tight timelines
- Good written and oral communication skills with Strong computer and Excel skills
- Experience working in GCC will be preferred.
